Preparing for a new Series

I'm stoked to be preparing a new series for the high school group. I'm calling the series "Jesus Priorities" because that's what it is. "Characteristics of Jesus" might actually be a better title. I'll be teaching through the book of Matthew for the next bunch of months.

The talks are going to be a little shorter because we're starting up Sunday Morning discussion groups for the students so that they have opportunity to interact with what I'm teaching and not just sit their listening.

The aim behind this series is to encourage students that following Jesus should manifest some outward change in their lives. There should be new things that excite them and that they start caring about. As I teach through each of these issues I'll be sharing a lot of personal stories and ideas that will hopefully make this topic real to them.

Here's a short list of topics for the next 8 weeks:
Seeking the Kingdom
Spiritual Connection
Justice
Merciful and grace-giving
Peace
Holy Living
Obedience to God
Reconciliation

Will this be based on "The Jesus Priorities: 8 Essential Habits"?

You may be interested in my book. The Jesus Priorities: 8 Essential Habits" by Upper Room Books.

And I would welcome an e-dialogue with your group.

Good luck!
